The Dating Derby is an 8 week long event. It consists of 2 events each week, these events are real life tasks to be completed with the person you are matched with .
The very first task for each team is always the same and yes, there is a strategy to this. At the final event, we will have a table for each team. The first task will be for each team will draw and write out exactly what they want their table to look like. What, if anything will be offered their table and how they will decorate their table. There is a budget of $100 for each team.
We have local dating derby's in various places. When you sign up, we do two virtual interviews to get to know you and if we find a suitable match you will have the option to officially enter the derby or keep your information on file for the next Derby.
We will look at the important elements to match our participants into teams of two.
We will not match any two people who do not fit our criteria for a match . In the event we are unable to match someone we will give that person the option to have their file held for the next derby or we will refund the deposit.
The dating derby is for serious daters, someone who is committed to finding a partner. It's an 8 week process, typically one to two evenings per week.
The cost for a spot in the Dating Derby is different for each derby due to the life tasks that are included. We provide everything you need to participate in each task.
We will create 7 real life tasks. These tasks all involve you working with your partner to complete the task. These are real life tasks, meaning, you will be doing things that are regular parts of everyone's life and this is the best way to find out if someone is truly compatible with you.
Our members who have submitted their entry will be placed first
This is a competitive game and there has to be rules to make it fair for all.
We use generations and themes for age purposes and we cover them all. Even though we may be doing a specific generation, anyone over the age of 21 is able to purchase a ticket and participate.
Some of our mini derbies include alcohol and some do not. We try to accommodate everyone but some venues do not allow alcohol. This will always be disclosed when the derby is announced. There is always some type of food served, whether it's appetizers or, burgers, or full plated dinners, we always provide food in your package.
We understand that not everyone is the same and some people are less open to interactive events. We do some derbies that require more and some require less interactive and most interaction is done one on one and not in a group setting.
We do this with a twist, we provide cards on the tables with questions. These questions are carefully chosen to give insight without being invasive. This proves to be a great ice breaker and helps members feel more comfortable which is necessary when meeting new people.
We work hard to find the best venues for each of our mini derbies. While keeping it as affordable as possible. Each mini derby has food and beverages that are included wiht the ticket price, not all venues will have alcohol. All members of The Meet will enjoy a 10% discount for all derbies.
Pop up derbies are always free, we may throw an announcement out that we are somewhere nearby you and you are free to come down and join us for some music, and some games, and to meet singles in your area.
